This fabulous one day workshop is all about The Romans. It begins with a presentation on the history of mosaics followed by a practical mosaic making activity, using real stone and marble. The workshop can be tailored to suit any age group or ability level, and includes: • Inspirational slide show presentation – “Roman Mosaics” • Introduction to materials and techniques, including use of cutting tools for older groups • Every pupil designs and creates a mosaic of their own • Completed mosaics can be grouted by the artist and returned to school by courier or a demo can be arranged and material left with staff.
